What We Do
USAAOM focuses our mission on the needs of displaced youth in the African country of Liberia. We have partnered with local organizations there such as “Joining Against Violence” who provide shelter, education and training programs for hundreds of homeless youth, aging from infancy to young adults. On our most recent visit, we used donations from our faith-based partners to purchase much needed rice, oil, and onions and other food items to replenish their storehouse. This program currently houses over 100 residents in its current graduating class.
USAAOM also is seeking more faith-based, community and individual partnerships so that we can expand our ministry efforts. There are many communities in Liberia like the “Christian Association of the Blind”, “Mission of Hope for the disabled”, and “Center for the Aged, Orphans, Needy & Abandoned Children Home” who also have established partnerships with us. Currently, there are several organizations in Liberia working with drug and rehabilitation within our targeted youth populations and we hope to partner with them as well. What makes us unique from the many other charitable organizations presently working within the country is that our founder is strongly committed and has never forgotten her native homeland.

In fact, our greatest compliment to the work we do came from a young man who said that “everyone comes and takes our pictures but they never come back”. We have promised that we will keep coming back to Liberia as long as we are able to help alleviate the problems and have meaningful outcomes.
